Review: Casio’s CT-S1 is a remarkably good beginner (or secondary) piano for $200


I’ve been a Casio fan for a while. Though the company has occasionally been the butt of bad jokes from musicians who seemingly have a problem with affordable instruments, Casio has long offered sensibly designed products that tend to be more accessible than much of the competition. The Casiotone CT-S1 feels like the epitome of Casio’s design philosophy. The company says it’s the spiritual successor to the original Casiotone CT-201 from 40 years ago, a digital keyboard meant to get anyone playing the piano. To me, it just seems feels like a fantastically good deal for a cent under $200.…
